Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with a catering specialist located on-site in Newport, who is currently seeking an experienced Chef to join their team.

This is a Monday to Friday, daytime-only role with working hours that may vary between 6am and 6pm.

Job Duties / Requirements:

• Being able to operate and follow H&W approved recipes.
• Experience essential in breakfast and lunch service. Main equipment is griddle, fryer, rational oven and range cooker.
• Understanding of HACCAP and following guidelines as outlined in H&W manual. A clear understanding of food allergens and being able to communicate these to customers.
• Good timekeeping.
• Level 2 food handling certificate as a minimum. Level 3 preferable.
• Good customer service skills, interpersonal skills, able to communicate with fellow staff, customers and site management.
• Presentable with good personal hygiene.
• Fluent English ability, in speaking, reading and writing.
• Ability to work on your own and with a team, who can function in a high-pressure environment.
