Acorn By Synergie on behalf of our Crewe based cleint, are excited to announce an opportunity for a Scrum Master to join our clients software development team! If you thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment and are passionate about driving change, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a key role in ensuring delivery teams follow Agile practices and principles, aligning business objectives to add real value to customers and stakeholders. You'll be responsible for defining, encouraging, and enforcing Agile ways of working while owning the successful delivery of change into production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement)
  • Guide teams in Agile best practices to improve efficiency and collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and UX Designers to ensure smooth workflows
  • Remove impediments and shield the team from distractions to foster productivity
  • Drive Agile adoption across teams and stakeholders
  • Support teams in achieving high performance through continuous improvement
  • Advocate for DevOps practices and best-in-class software development processes
  • Track project progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring transparency and clear reporting

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development team
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Ability to coach and mentor teams on Agile best practices
  • Hands-on experience working closely with engineering teams in software development
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
  • Experience with Agile tools such as ClickUp, Azure DevOps, Trello
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and cloud-based technologies (desirable)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent Agile certifications (preferred)

Desirable Experience

  • Service design and user research
  • Understanding of technical architectures and modern software development practices
  • Previous experience working in cross-functional teams
