QHSE Coordinator

Crewe (Fully Onsite)

Salary: Up to £38,000 + Excellent Benefits

The ideal candidate for this role is a driven and passionate professional who takes ownership of their work and thrives in an autonomous environment. They will have a proven track record in QHSE, ideally within manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics, with strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Confident in conducting internal audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, they will proactively drive continuous improvement across the business. A strong communicator and influencer, they will engage stakeholders at all levels, delivering training and fostering a positive QHSE culture. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make it their own, implement meaningful change, and champion safety, quality, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and assist in internal audits in line with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards.
  • Maintain and improve the QHSE management system, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, and risk assessments to promote a safe and high quality work environment.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Alongside the team, assist in external audits and liaise with certification bodies to maintain ISO accreditation.
  • Provide QHSE training and awareness programs for employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on QHSE performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental sustainability initiatives and waste management processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a QHSE role, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or a similar sector.
  • Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, including audit processes.
  • Internal Auditor certification (or working towards it) is highly desirable, however not essential.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety measures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with QHSE management systems.
