• Option 1: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Option 2: Shifts starting between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM, finishing between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM (covering 5 days out of 7)

Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join a grounds maintenance team in Exeter. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of various outdoor spaces, ensuring they are well-presented and safe for public use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds maintenance and vegetation management tasks such as grass cutting, hedge trimming, shrub bed maintenance (including pruning), and weed spraying.
• Carry out graffiti removal using chemicals or powered equipment.
• Operate mechanical sweepers for cleaning outdoor spaces.
• Maintain sports pitches, tennis courts, and other outdoor sports facilities.
• Assist with general cleaning and maintenance duties, including removing litter, emptying bins, trimming or removing weed growth, and maintaining public toilets when needed.

Requirements:

• Full driving license is essential.
• Experience with powered pedestrian equipment and hand-held tools is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
