Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift

About the role:

Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their clients skilled team in Ilfracombe. This is a night shift position, with the primary focus on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial equipment in the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain industrial equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
• Replace faulty parts and components
• Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Keep accurate maintenance records
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer on industrial equipment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
• Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery
• Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Hours:

This is a night shift position, working 8-hour shifts 23.45pm - 0745am Tuesday-Saturday, with occasional overtime required.
