The Skills Centre will provide you with a full teacher training programme to help you pass on your experience to the next generation within construction.
The team deliver a range of courses from entry level qualification, industry standard short courses, NVQ delivery, apprenticeships, higher-level industry recognised qualifications and chartership.
They’re passionate about skills and support staff to upskill and achieve their own qualifications across a range of trades. The innovative team push the boundaries of existing construction training, which is not always fit for purpose, developing new courses and investing in new technology and training approaches, with tutors encouraged to think outside the box.
As a Construction Tutor, you will be part of an amazing team using the latest technology to deliver employer led teaching and learning. The Skills Centre takes pride in teaching the practical skills needed for a career in the construction industry.
Roles based in Central and Greater London, South West England and West Midlands with a mix of classroom and practical, site based training.
Up to £45k (in London) depending on skills and experience and potential for performance related bonus.
- Construction industry experience.
- Skills required in Groundwork, Steel Fixing, Formwork, Demolition and Plant operatives, Ductwork and / or Interior Systems.
- English and Math at Level 2 (Assessment can be undertaken prior to Interview).
- Experience in construction with a level 2 qualification.
- PTLLS/ Level 3 AET or equivalent or willingness to work towards.
- A passion for helping leaners develop their confidence, enthusiasm, and skills is a must!

The Skills Centre is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and safeguarding checks will take place. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the exemption order 1975,2013,2020 and an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for the role.
